Beginner Calligraphy Workshops Are Here
For those who have been waiting—the time is now
For those of you who have been waiting for workshops at Garden Lady’s Obsession, the time is now.
Registration is open for my first beginner calligraphy workshops, beginning Tuesday, October 20.
CALLIGRAPHY FIRSTS — $65
Begin with one welcoming, 75-minute session designed for those with no previous calligraphy experience.
You’ll learn how to prepare and use a pointed pen, control the flow of ink, create graceful thick and thin strokes, and begin forming letters.
You’ll also take home your own calligraphy starter collection, valued at approximately $40, with the proper tools to continue practicing at home.
CALLIGRAPHY FIRSTS TO CHRISTMAS CARDS — $175
Continue through the complete four-part series as we explore letter connections, flourishes, composition, tracing and transfer, gouache washes, botanical details, layered vellum, card assembly and envelope addressing.
You’ll complete one beautifully designed Christmas card and leave with an expanded collection of reusable tools, quality paper and matching envelopes to create ten additional cards at home.
The complete collection of tools and materials has a retail value of approximately $80.
Classes meet Tuesdays, October 20 through November 10, from 7:00–8:15 p.m.
No previous calligraphy experience is required. Space is limited, and registration closes October 6 so I can order each participant’s materials.
I look forward to welcoming you to the worktable.
