Small Yard Lawn to Woodland Wildlife Garden Conversion

This conceptual design allows one to experience the project area from the homeowners most prominent vantage point. Achieved by creating individual drawings of appropriate beneficial and pollinator plants and re-purposing existing ones, then layering these ideas over top of the drawn structure and foundation plantings.

Appropriately placed, the left is eastern exposure and shaded by the home. The right of the mowed grass path is sun to partial shade. The path can be changed easily with the lawn mower and the entire area will require so much less weekly maintenance, contain and filter storm water, and allow for local pollinators to take habitat.

I'll even speak with your township on your behalf to find out what their policies detail on restricting this type of gardening due to their definition of weeds.
