What if doing less WAS actually more...

... more beautiful, more natural, more beneficial, more spiritual, healthy, supportive, and productive?

What if I told you, that's all true? You CAN do less work, sit back, and collect on the many rewarding aspects of creating a pollinator habitat in your own yard.

I'm going to walk you through a small side yard lawn => wildlife and pollinator habitat conversion which is located in an urban setting, on a 10,000 sqft single family detached residential property in Southeastern Pennsylvania.

Throughout this journey, I hope to show you that we are the same. There will be life happening around this and, at times, intruding on our project and our goals. Our desired outcomes may not happen in the way we imagined, but we are showing up for the journey!

I'm going to try and not rush straight to the pictures and wonder of nature doing it's thing. I hope to make it as simple as possible! We will start at the basics and work up to the doing-less part in a series of following blogs. Follow me on LinkedIn and my website to receive updates!

Lucky for you... this IS my zone!

I have done the research, made the connections, and learned from others. I will be putting all of this experience to use here for you (and nature's) benefit.

Who am I? I'm a mother living in Southeastern PA for over 20 years. I grew up in a large Wisconsin town where 4H, hunting, agriculture, and hand-crafted cheeses reigned. Highschool in the late 90's was filled with opportunity to get involved with the first 3 while enjoying the 4th. I quickly gravitated toward the school's on-site Greenhouse, got a job at the local Retail Greenhouse - the largest geranium grower in the state, worked full-time at an Ice Cream Dairy Bar, and overnights at a 24-hour gas station. Over my 20 years in PA I have thrived in the Landscape Supply trade, assisting homeowners and contractors alike with the art of landscaping, lawn care, pest control products, outdoor lighting, stormwater management, irrigation, and operating power equipment, lugging around upwards of 100lb worth of bags of seed/fertilizer on my shoulders, and more... at retail and commercial nurseries, greenhouses, and landscape supply retailers. I am very proud of the work, heart, and soul I have and continue to put into this industry by volunteering with the Girl Scouts, Parks and Recreation Commission, and working in Emergency Services.

I am now owner / operator of my own LLC., Crystal Clear Estimates; offering conceptual landscape designs and drawings for the residential client or for hire as a sub. to the residential landscape contractor. I am attending Temple University full time to obtain my B.S. in Landscape Architecture with Horticulture concentration and a minor in Community Development. I practice what I preach and live to learn.

Thank you for your support!
